Ispirato alle blasonate forme delle Martin serie D, il modello DM12 (Dreadnought) rappresenta l'interpretazione di Danilo Metelli del classico concetto di chitarra country-folk, rispetto al quale tuttavia viene introdotto – già dal 1995 - un manico dal profilo più sottile e maneggevole. Ciò rende questa chitarra più morbida e versatile delle sue colleghe americane.

La DM12 è perciò dotata della classica e rinomata sonorità “Dreadnought”, con una presenza forte, molto ampia ed impetuosa, con cantini slanciati e bassi persistenti. Ideale per lo strumming, il flat-picking, l’accompagnamento vocale e le basi ritmiche, mostra anche una grande adattabilità alle tecniche percussive più innovative e spinte della new-age e del fingerstyle.

DM12

The DM12 model is inspired by the most popular series of Martin guitars, that is the say the “D” Series (Dreadnoughts). The only significant difference consists in a thin neck profile, which Danilo Metelli started to adopt in 1995. Thanks to this improvement in neck building, the DM12 guitars are more comfortable and more versatile to play than their Martin reference models.

The DM12 is the quintessence of the dreadnought sound, with three-dimensional presence and full band from bass to treble. Even if these guitars have ideally been born for strumming and flat picking, they are also perfect in “guitar and voice” duos, and very suitable for innovative tapping and percussive fingerstyle.
